Day 1- It begins

Ok so here is what I'm challenging myself to do: Loose 25pounds in 6months seems reasonable right? I mean thats about 1lb a week should not be to hard... RIGHT???? I'm not kidding myself though I know this is going to take work. I think I'll start by working out once in the morning with my kids and once after my kids eat lunch (they love working out with me) secondly I will start eating healthier snacks for example a carrot stick which I was hopping to be chomping on as I typed this but sadly did not find in my refrigerator so I guess I need to go shopping to buy healthy snacks to eat!

I also want to have a menu for lunch and dinner. I think I'm going to aim for a 2 week menu dont have the exact same thing every week (boooooooring) this way I know what I'm going to eat and dont fall prey to the I dont know what to eat so I'll eat a chocolate bar thing.

OK finally I'm going to try really hard to have at least 5 servings of veggies a day and 3 servings of fruit! Oh did I mention the 8 cups of water?

Well my homework for today is to write a menu (oh yeah and make lunch and dinner) while my twins are napping. who knew taking care of ones self would be so difficult after having twins?

I guess I should put my weight down, as embarrassing as it may be...... well maybe a bit later :) hey my kids need to get ready for nap time!

  1. way to go Pnina. You have taken the first step. have you any interest in weight watchers? I lost 30 pounds in five months, and it taught me how to eat healthy food along with healthy portion control. I would totally suggest it.

  3. Mommy, I'm making a 2 week menu so writing down should not be to much of an issue once its done. There is no way I'm cutting carbs but I am going to try and eat mostly whole grain the rest is still a work in progress :) why does DH need a high calorie supper? Can you add something to your healthy supper to up his calories? One of my problems is that I need to eat high calories b/c my twins are still nursing. as things stand right now I'm not eating enough healthy foods!

Once my 2 week menu is done I'll post it so you can get idea's :D Shayna, I cant afford WW right now but I'm using a program called spark people to count calories and keep track of what I"m eating www.sparkpeople.com I'm actually using the babyfit section b/c I'm still nursing http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com if anyone signs up please use trafficgal as the referral :)
